Zero Carbon Project 2035
In 2023, BLR proudly launched the ZeroCarbonProject 2035, marking a decisive step towards decarbonizing the logistics industry by 2035.
BioDiesel and Solar Initiatives
- We have been using Biodiesel (B20-B30)l in our fleet since 2017. Our aim is to increase our consumption of biodiesel, until we make a complete transition to EV vehicles.

- Adopting renewable energy practices and emphasizing energy consumption efficiency, we have been powering our warehouses using solar power.

ESG Reporting
The first step towards decarbonizing is to understand your GHG footprint that starts by measuring your current carbon emissions so that you can develop achievable targets towards lowering them. Our software platform helps us measure, analyze, report, and act on our ESG and sustainability performance. It gives us accurate real time data of carbon emissions on a shipment level which is in conformance to that Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) framework.
ENERGY REDUCTION PLAN
- Aiming for a 3% reduction in energy consumption year on year
- Practices include unplugging chargers, using power strips, and prioritizing Energy Star products.
- Quarterly reviews comparing electricity bills.
Waste Management Policy
BLR's Waste Management Policy aligns with environmental regulations, emphasizing waste reduction, re-use, and recycling. We adhere to The Hazardous Wastes Rules (2008), The E-Waste Rules (2011), and The Environment Protection Act (1986). Our approach involves sustainable practices like double-sided printing and tire retreading, aiming to minimize waste production. We collaborate with certified waste management companies for paper recycling and tire repurposing.

Our waste management dashboard allows real time tracking of waste and helps plan for timely pick up and disposal of all kinds of waste from our facilities. It gives us visibility of our waste production so that we can understand and set targets for decreasing our waste production.
